Sales Account Manager - North Central London

Salary £34,000 pa to £36,000 pa - Working Hours Monday to Friday 9am-5pm

As a well-established business with renowned Food brands we have created a new position for a Sales Account Manager to join our small team and support the Sales Director in managing the relationships with major Grocery customers.

The individual appointed will support the Sales Director with the implementation of short-term and long-term sales strategies that will increase sales turnover, product volumes and profit of branded products, specifically with the major multiple retailers. The Sales Account Manager will be involved in the sales process from start to finish including attending meetings with major multiple retail customers, active selling, promotion of branded products, contract negotiation, and integration of new customers into company systems.

There will be a further requirement to write reports and provide commercial information to the Sales Director including the preparation of value and volume sales forecasts and order fulfilment information, analyse spreadsheets and communicate sales trends or sales performance issues. Other activities include sales planning with customers, improving sales processes, coordinating promotional plans and developing customer relations.

The Sales Account Manager will work as part of a close-knit team including regular contact with the Managing Director, Sales Director, Operations, Marketing and Finance. The Sales Account Manager will get the opportunity to deputise for the Sales Director, develop new sales leads, conduct competitor analysis, promote the brand and be heavily involved in the preparation of Joint Business Plans in conjunction with key retail customers.

Applicants need to have great business acumen and the ability to develop relationships at all organisational levels. They need to be analytically minded and 'good with figures'. Applicants need to have excellent report writing and presentation skills, with good proficiency with computers and business technology. A passion for brands, keen eye for detail and track-record in working to deadlines in a fast-moving Food environment is also required.

This is largely an office based role, working from a spacious office mews in North Central London.

The Salary for the role is £34000 to £36,000 pa + Benefits
